Welcome to Wigglesworth Community Centre at Clark’s Old School

This historic building, originating from 1798, was the former village school left in trust to the village upon its closure in 1962.

The website is based around the Community Centre but also provides a gateway to pages which enable visitors to learn more about the village, what kinds of events are occurring linked to the village and the surrounding areas, including the cricket and quiz teams, clubs and societies, forthcoming events and local business activity.

Retaining many original features (including the old school bell) and housing the village war memorial plaque listing those who fell in the Great War, the school building was saved from dereliction through the hard work of many villagers and the generous grants awarded by organisations such as The Big Lottery and Yorkshire LEADER.
